Join Pallas Snowboards, White Pine Touring, and Park City Powder Cats for a 2-day women’s splitboard clinic, suited for beginner and intermediate splitboarders, and take your backcountry skills to a confident, new level. We’ll tune into backcountry etiquette, efficiencies, and safety throughout the weekend, helping you establish a foundation for making savvy decisions in backcountry terrain.
Skill: Novice and intermediate women splitboarders
Schedule: Friday, February 16
White Pine Touring
We’ll start the weekend with a classroom session and wine social at White Pine Touring, making sure we’ve got all the pre-trip essentials covered:
– What’s an avalanche forecast and how to read it
– What to pack and how to pack it
– Set up personal and demo gear
Bring your gear, a notebook and pen, and a head full of questions. Wine and light snacks will be provided.
Saturday, February 17
Thousand Peaks Ranch
Our morning starts at White Pine Touring with bagels and coffee provided by Wasatch Bagels. We’ll carpool to our destination and take a short cat ride with Park City Powder Cats to access our own yurt at 9500′ at Thousand Peaks Ranch. From here, we’ll embark on a guided day in the backcountry and start building the foundations of splitboarding. Our day ends with a group debriefing to discuss the day’s objectives and give everyone a chance to share their thoughts.
