Everything about my experience with Pallas was awesome. The mail order demo program provides an amazing opportunity to try their boards out on your home turf. The company's mission to elevate women's snowboarding is inspiring, and I'm excited to support women who are uplifting other women! And the board is UNREAL (not to mention beautiful). I'm not the quiver type, so I was looking for a daily driver that's aggressive on steeps, holds an edge on hard pack, plows through chunder, and floats in pow. The Epiphany delivered in every category. I felt like a freight train on icy groomers - it's the most stable board I've ever ridden! - and really enjoyed the playfulness and poppiness it offers without sacrificing float on deep days. I've been riding a board that's way too long for 20 years and, at their rep's suggestion, decided to downsize with the Epiphany, which was a great decision - turns were less work and more fun. Can't say enough great things about these folks, their boards, or what they're doing for the sport!
This is the best board I ever owned.
I rode Whistler and the lovely icy Quebec mountains with it and it performed so well.
It is also making my life easier, that way I can travel with only one board.
Hands-down best board I have ridden. The Epiphany has all the features I like in a board: early-rise, flat between the feet, camber underfoot, slight setback. It performs well in pow, chunder, on groomers, and really powers through everything while still feeling fun. I have had a bunch of different boards over the years and this is the closest I have ever come to having a true quiver-killer. One board that can do everything. I have ridden it at Brighton, Snowbird, Park City, Jackson, Baker, Copper, and Powder Mountain and it is well-suited to all of them. Playful enough to mess around on lower angle terrain but stable enough to handle the steep and technical stuff.
Sorry, other snowboards, the Epiphany truly is a quiver killer. I'm a long time Pallas fan and own a Zeitgeist and a Hedonist, but have been looking for something more aggressive to add to the mix for the chunkiest/heaviest days of PNW snow sliding. The Epiphany fit the bill and effortlessly sliced through the chunk and chunder of Mt. Baker. Not only did it tackle heavy cement sludge in the sidecountry, it also performed well inbounds. It was SO stable on fast groomers and begged for high speeds. No wiggles, only giggles. Bottom line- this board is versatile, aggressive, and utterly confidence inspiring!
I wanted this board forever because I love what Pallas stands for as a company and how absolutely beautiful the graphics are, and I couldn't be more stoked to finally own one because this board exceeds my expectations every time I ride it! I sized down from my old 156 to the 151 because I was tired of feeling pushed around by the board the boys told me I should be on, and having a board made by women for women is everything I hoped for and more! I am amazed at how nimble it is in all conditions. Even with a wider waist, the shape of the board transitions from edge to edge effortlessly, which is super fun to carve on groomers and was incredibly confidence inspiring in steep couloirs we bootpacked in spring. I haven't found a snow condition that this board doesn't handle well, it charges through chop and pops off of features, lays into corn and floats on pow. Its truly an all mountain, all season board. I am absolutely a better rider on this board, and because of the confidence it gives me, I have more fun! Now I want this board in a split too!
